The RS-8215 Digital Impact Tester is designed to assess the impact resistance and toughness of various non-metallic materials, including engineering plastics, fiberglass, ceramics, cast stone, electrical insulation materials, and plastic pipes.
During testing, a specimen is subjected to an impact at a defined angle and mass, and the absorbed energy is measured to determine material toughness. The impact action is controlled via a simple button operation, greatly enhancing operator safety.
The tester features an integrated specimen collection chute that catches fractured samples after testing, ensuring a clean workspace. Additionally, the RS-8215 can automatically print test results, improving efficiency and documentation. The unit supports multiple impact energies and test standards, and allows switching between measurement units such as kg-mm, kg-cm, kg-m, lb-ft, and Joules (N-m).
