The RS-8224 Constant Temperature Tape Holding Force Tester assesses the adhesive retention ability of tapes in high-temperature environments. The test procedure involves sticking the tape onto a stainless steel test plate, rolling it back and forth three times with a roller, waiting for 20 minutes, then hanging a 1 kg load from the tape inside a high-temperature oven.
The sliding distance or the time taken for the tape to fail (fall) is recorded to evaluate the tape’s holding force under elevated temperatures. The tester uses intelligent PID control for precise temperature management up to 200°C, and it complies with JIS Z0237 and GB/T 4851 standards. Available in 5-position (RS-8224-5) and 10-position (RS-8224-10) versions, it allows simultaneous testing of multiple samples for improved efficiency.
