The RS-8226 Tape Tack Rolling Ball Tester is designed for assessing the initial tackiness of a wide range of adhesive tapes. During the test, tape samples are placed adhesive side up on a glass incline set at an adjustable angle (commonly 30°). Steel balls of gradually decreasing size are rolled from the top of the inclined plate; the largest numbered ball that sticks to the tape for at least 5 seconds is recorded as the tack value.
The tester accommodates up to four samples simultaneously and comes with 32 precision steel balls ranging from 1/32" to 1" in diameter. The adjustable inclined angle (20°–40°) allows flexible testing conditions, while the glass test plate ensures a smooth and consistent surface for accurate evaluation. The RS-8226 is built according to GB/T4852 and CNS11888 standards, ensuring reliable and comparable results.
