Purpose and Application:
The RS-8105D-45° Conical Tester is specifically designed for cable life testing. It is ideal for testing power cables, headphone cables, and other similar flexible cables used in consumer electronics such as mobile phones, e-books, tablets, and laptops. The machine simulates the stresses these cables endure through a 45° rotation, ensuring they meet durability standards.
Test Method:
- Cable Setup: Secure one end of the cable or headphone wire in the fixture. Fold the cable 80–100mm from the gripping end, loop it into the rotatable buckle, and connect the reference line. The reference line runs through two flexible pulleys and attaches to a weight.
- Test Procedure: Set the speed to 42 rpm and the angle to ±720°. A full cycle consists of rotating the cable 720° in one direction and then back to 720° in the opposite direction. The test continues until 5800 cycles are completed, after which the cable is inspected for any damage.
- Online Conduction Test: If desired, a conduction test can be performed by soldering wires to both ends of the cable. The machine will automatically stop if there is a disconnection or conduction failure.
